Game day, every time
- Step 1: Shake out the grass and clay outside. Empty the pockets.
- Step 2: Stain first, no heat: cold water through the back of the stain, then a dab of detergent.Clay and grass on white pants: soak 30 minutes in cold water with a scoop of oxygen powder. Blood on socks: cold water, never warm.
- Step 3: Inside out. Cold, cycle Normal, on its own or with the other uniforms.No softener: it holds smell in the fabric.
- Step 4: Pads, gloves, shin guards: air, not the drum.Spray, wipe, dry on the rack overnight. The bag gets turned inside out on the porch.
- Step 5: Dryer Low, or hang it. Numbers and iron-ons never see High.Still a stain? Wash again. Heat bakes it in for good.
