The first right move.
Every shirt has a care tag. Most of us squint at it, then guess. Then a stain shows up the night before the game, and the internet gives you answers that disagree. Care Tag Lab is one calm answer. We name the stain, check the fix against university-extension and maker guides, and give you the first right move in plain words, plus what never to do. Free to look up. Printable for the wall. Made for whoever runs the next load.
Who it's for
The person who runs the laundry. The parent with a game tomorrow. The new parent with a blowout. The one who gets every question about the washer. If that's you, this is for you. You don't need to know any chemistry.
How we work
- You start by naming the stain family, because it decides the fix.
- Every fix cites university-extension and maker guides, and names its sources.
- You also see what never to do, like hot water on blood or bleach with ammonia.
- Only 31 old laundry tricks get a verdict: works, partly or myth.
What we don't do
You should know what this is not. No page can promise every stain comes out. Nothing here is medical advice. Nothing here comes from our own lab testing. The fixes come from the guides we list, so you can read them too.
Who's behind it
Care Tag Lab is part of House Care Lab. Why "Lab"? Because we check every fix against published guides and show you the source. We do not run a test lab of our own. There's no founder photo here on purpose. The tag is the face. If you have a question or a correction, write to hello@caretaglab.com.
